Getting started with BREEZ
Build your own dust sensor, connect it to the BREEZ platform, and start understanding the air quality in your workshop.
What it is
The maker way to see workshop air quality.
BREEZ is a self-build particulate matter sensor system for workshops and makers. The sensor measures fine dust in the air, so you can see what is happening while you work.
The BREEZ platform turns those measurements into live data, history, peaks, events and trends. You can use the sensors as standalone devices, but the platform gives the full BREEZ experience.

Step 2
Get the build files and firmware
You need the 3D print files and firmware from the Capturing Dust Patreon shop and the free build guide for the version you choose. Buy the required components and parts as listed in the build guide.
Step 3
Build and flash your sensor
Build the sensor with the off-the-shelf electronics, then flash it with the provided firmware using a USB cable that supports data (most cables are power only).
Step 4
Connect to the BREEZ platform
Set up Wi-Fi, use the claim code shown by the firmware, and link the sensor to your BREEZ account that is included with the eligible Capturing Dust Patreon memberships.

The simplest BREEZ build. No screen, no battery circuit, just a compact dust sensor with an RGB glow that shows air-quality status.
BREEZ Portable Display
A more complete portable sensor with display, buttons, battery monitoring and on-device readings.
Platform access & Patreon
Membership supports BREEZ.
BREEZ platform access is provided through eligible Patreon membership tiers. Patreon is the membership platform used to support ongoing development, hosting, maintenance and the community around BREEZ.
You can cancel your Patreon membership through Patreon. Public build guide pages are separate from platform access; firmware and print-file access are included in some Capturing Dust Patreon membership tiers.

Simple guidance for a first decision.
Choose SuperMini RGB if…
You want the simplest and cheapest first BREEZ build.
Choose Portable Display if…
You want readings directly on the sensor and a more complete standalone device.
Choose Silver if…
You want free access to the firmware and 3D print files. Support from the build files and the FAQ. And want to use BREEZ with a normal workshop setup: up to 5 linked sensors.
Choose Gold if…
You want free access to the firmware and 3D print files. Personal priority support. You want many sensors or a larger multi-sensor setup.
